St. Cloud, FL (June 8, 2012) - Robert M. Brooks, FACHE, has joined St. Cloud Regional Medical Center as Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Brooks comes to St. Cloud with over 20 years of experience in the healthcare industry.
Most recently, he served as COO at Central Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, Miss. Prior to this, he was the Vice President, Operations and Centers of Excellence, for Methodist Healthcare in Memphis, Tenn. He has also held management positions at healthcare organizations in Ohio and Pennsylvania. Before he began his career in administration, Mr. Brooks worked as a Flight Nurse for UPMC’s STAT MedEvac in Pittsburgh, as well as in the community as a firefighter and paramedic.
Mr. Brooks earned an MBA and a graduate certificate in healthcare management from Youngstown State University in Youngstown, Ohio, and a bachelor of science in nursing from Kent State University in Kent, Ohio.
He has served as a clinical instructor at Ross University School of Medicine in Edison, NJ, as an adjunct faculty member in the University of Memphis School of Public Health, and as Associate Professor at Youngstown State University’s Allied Health Program.

Robert and his wife Jeannine are looking for a home in the area and look forward to moving in the very near future with their four sons: Kyle, Kasey, Cody and Connor.
